The Revolutionary Che Wavera Weekend Reflections

In Atlanta tonight until Tuesday. Shout out to my Co-D's Rich + Joey. And all my ATLiens I'ma see this weekend: Don Cannon, Slim of 112, Necole Bitchie, Randy Roper, Dreika, Caveman, Jazze Pha, Shondrae, Nephu, Hit Boy, DJ Drama + everyone else that slips my sober mind

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I saw this trailer last night. Looks crazy! Biggest movie of '09! The whole theater went wild! Only one problem:

I don't know what The Watchmen is

So I decided to do what any Mid-80s Baby would do in times like this: Wikipedia It
Looks dope/complicated/nerdy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine The Silver Surfer

And King Joffie Joe

Got together and start THE KILLA WAVE! Last time they got together it was classic

You Gotta Love It (feat. Max B.) - Camron

A whole CD of Max + Cam. It'll be the most entertaining movements in the history of rap!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is how I'm going to act when I go for my bike summons in September

I'm going to ride a bike everywhere next week. Prob gonna keep it Crown Heights and go get me one of these Brooklyn Machine Works joints

Big day today. Buncha mogul meetings and conference calls. What's my secret weapon to prepare me for days like today? No, not hed in the strangest places. Or The Secret.

It's Mango-A-Go-Go-No-Ho-Mo

Come to find out Jamba Juice is having a 2 for 1 smoothie sale. So now I'm wired! Expect 50-11 blogs and Twitters from me today.

And big up to whoever hires the girls at this branch. I'd marry any of them. Just gotta keep that apron on when we go home. Owwww

Ghost Blogging

This Is Genius. Marcus Troy is on to something.

"I am coining the phrase “GHOST BLOGGER” for those of you who have no idea where this term derives from I’ll explain. In the rap game if you don’t write your own lyrics (like Diddy) you higher a “Ghost Writer” to do your penmanship for you. (sidenote: most people don’t respect those who don’t write their ow lyrics.) The reason why they say “ghost” is because this persons identity is usual kept private and you can use their material and past it off as your own and the real writer essentially remains a ghost( unless they get mad, and call you out). So the game is changing and now blogging is the new way of communicating your ideas, thoughts and beliefs besides the music. Artist like Kanye and Pharell just to name a few have their own blogs which people follow insanely you can tell by the user comments. But do they write their own blogs? Or are their blogs just inspired by them and what they might say?"

Rick Ross' Statement: “My life is 100 percent real. These online hackers putting a picture of my face when i was a teenager in high school on other peoples body. If this shit was real don’t you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything else? I’m in the entertainment business and a lot of people like to hate because I’m on top of my game. Like I said before my life is 100 percent real.”

MAYOR MICHAEL R. BLOOMBERG SIGNS BILL INCREASING FINES FOR RIDING BICYCLES ON SIDEWALK

Testimony by Mayor Bloomberg During Public Hearing on Local Law

"The bill before me today is Introductory Number 116-A, sponsored by Speaker Miller, Council Members Liu, Brewer, Clarke, Diaz, Dilan, Felder, Gerson, Katz, Moskowitz, Nelson, Rivera, Seabrook and Vallone. This bill amends the Administrative Code with respect to the operation of bicycles on City sidewalks, in order to enhance pedestrian safety and promote safer and more responsible bicycle riding.

"Under the current law, riding a bicycle upon any City sidewalk is prohibited unless permitted by an official sign. This bill authorizes the issuance of a notice of violation and the imposition of a civil penalty of up to $100 for any person who violates the current law. In addition, the bill allows more severe penalties to be imposed where the rider endangers any other person or property when riding on the sidewalk illegally. In such cases, a rider will be liable for a civil penalty of between $100 and $300. If there is a finding that there was physical contact between the rider and a pedestrian, then the rider may also be assessed an additional civil penalty of between $100 and $200. Finally, the bill allows for the doubling of civil penalties that would ordinarily be imposed, if a rider commits two violations within a six-month period.

"This bill, which will take effect immediately, will strengthen our existing law and will provide law enforcement officials with additional means to address a dangerous condition on our sidewalks. We hope that this bill will also encourage bicycle riders to obey the law and conduct themselves in a safe and responsible manner when riding on the sidewalk."

The Last New Yorker I'll Ever Buy
Obama New Yorker

This is just a shame. And super blatant. They claim it's supposed to be a parody of right wing stereo types versus the Obama's, but it comes across as pure hate. It's sad because I used to read this magazine ever week.

Even the article is insulting. The whole thing is about Barry flip flopping on issues and how the people he came up with in Chicago don't mess with him.

Anyway, if you're interested, read the whole article here:

Obama - New Yorker Magazine

I also picked up this interesting read called "Blogging Heroes". It showcases some of the biggest and best blogging success stories. Think Vh1 Driven for bloggers.

Sunday Brunch Brooklyn Biking

1:01pm
Chez Oskar Cafe, Brooklyn

-Back in Atlanta every Saturday + Sunday + Monday from this week on
-Just rode from Houston Street + Chrystie to Dekalb Ave + Adelphi via bike. Like bicycle
-Crepes x Chicken Sandwich x Mashed Potatoes x Orange Juice
-I've been flirting with the idea of going without sex + drinks for a year to focus all on The Firm. If I go thru with it, I'll start July 15th. Gotta give me a day to break my bad habits. More as this story develops
-Song in my head while ducking thru traffic: The Bee Remix, Proton + Jessica Tonder
-"{Sickamore's} only known by influentials, celebrities and people from Brooklyn" -Brand Consultant to The Famous Firm
-The drinking withdrawl will be a lot easier than the latter
-Stepping foot into a library for the first time since Junior High School 2morrow (Phillipa Schyluer + Lefferts What Up!)
-Saw Hancock yesterday. Against my will. It was cool until the 2nd superhero came along. Then it just got corny. Any recommendations for today's cinema action?
