Pussy cat pussy cat where art thee?

Pussy cat pussy cat where art thee?

People are trying to figure out whats up before high tea!

Well not really, I personally don’t think anyone gives a rats ass.

You must excuse me as this poem will prob not rhyme.

The Pussycat Dolls dont deserve that much time.

I am curious though what the eff is going on as every single released is PC feating Nicole,

I thought she was part of the group? Or is this the 3LW type switch.

MAYBE ya’ll should go by a new name so it kinda changes up the game,

And take one more shot at it, trying to get that fame.

Anyone remember Nicole from way back when?

When she first started she auditioned for the one and only “Pop stars”

And she became part of another girl group called “Edens Crush”?

Even back then you could tell Nicole was willing and in a rush.

The girl group flopped before the first single was even released,

I think the title was called “get over yourself?” which cleverly forshadowed Nicole’s future

Because…come on now? Really? You got as much talent as Britney on her good days.

Ok ok I’ll be nice…I mean shes probably going to pay the price.

She’s doing everything and anything to revive a deadless career,

Now she’s doing bollywood songs just to pay for her meals.

I love Bollywood flicks

But Nicole??? Realllly? Man, she should stick to what she does best, which is being a trick.

Listen, I know that I shouldn’t hate

I just think that talent comes from within

There’s really no point in someone being so thin,

Not healthy, half naked and saying “yeah I’m a rold model”

What? Are you crazy? You want little girls all around the world trying to full throtle?

Make good music and the art will speak for itself,

Can’t ya’ll see your just the puppet ???

Robin Anton is make the cash

Buy pimpin out PCD and Girlicious by showing some ass.

Shes like the modern day pimp,

I haven’t seen her lately trying to show her goodies,

all she does now is rock them hoodies.

LADIES!!! I don’t want to go off preachy,

I just want to keep it real,

Although you may not want to be a role model,

Just know that a little girl maybe looking up to you

So its really important you don’t show your “YOOOHOOO!”

What Playboy Tre’ Isn’t Famous For

April 30th, 2009 | Posted in Music | 4 Comments

Who: Playboy Tre

What He’s Famous For:

Songwriting (Willy Northpole’s “Hood Dreamer”, T.I.’s “Slide Show”), Touring with Bobby Ray f/k/a B.O.B., His “A Fan A Day” campaign, and Solo Projects: Goodbye America - Da Story of a Drunken Loner (2007) and Liquor Store Mascot (out now).

What He Isn’t Famous For:

His “horrible” singing voice x Developing Bobby Ray before he was Bobby Ray

as told to Nadine Graham

The perfect hook has to be catchy, something people can remember, and melody is important too. A melody can speak to you without saying a word. The hook has to be relatable to more than just you. To where people can hear it and say it and feel like it’s them. I hear melodies, multiple melodies, but I can’t sing- at all. I lay melodies down and get singers to come in. Then, I explain my vision and reference what I’m hearing or what I might record. If people were to hear me do it, it would sound horrible

The one thing about me that everyone knows is that I love drinking. I believe people should put who they are into their music. A friend of mine named me the ‘drunk loner’ because he’d always be like, “N*gga always wanna sit alone and drink!” [laughs]. I wanna take people slowly and let them continue to see further who I am. And, as they listen to my songs, they learn a lot more than just the drinking. Kinda like how Dre did with Chronic.

We [Tre and B-Rich, his manager] became good friends while playing Madden. He said he had two young cousins that did music and he wanted me to hear and if it sucked, tell them it sucked, because he wanted them to get better. I said, “Bring ‘em over.”  Just so happens when he brought these two young cats over (one fourteen, one sixteen) the fourteen year old was Mr. Bobby Ray himself. I listened to their music and liked it; it needed a lot of work but I was impressed that they were teenagers who weren’t rapping about f*cking, drugs, or fighting. They were songs with concepts. For them to be that young thinking outside the box…

We [Tre, fellow rappers Born Wit It, Moss B, Kaos Dat Boi and DJ Swatts] would just be on the road supporting each other in the cause. Just making everyone better. We would be like, “We the H.A.M. Squad!” It was an inside joke at first. I’d be like, “I’m about to smoke some hams and stretch out a young lady’s hamstrings! [laughs]. We were a tight unit of talented people. At this point, it’s not even about smoking hams, it’s about a talented group of people who wanna take the music further, take entertainment further and add to the culture

I’m learning a lot with A Fan A Day. It was actually Maurice Garland’s (http://mauricegarland.blogspot.com/) idea. He was like, “With your personality, I think you could pull off this idea for A Fan A Day. I think your music is that good.” It’s a couple times when you walk up to somebody with a CD player and headphones with CDs and they like, “Aargh!” I tell ‘em, “I just wanna play some music for you, I’m not trying to sell you anything, I’m just out here trying to gain another fan, if you’re really feeling it, let me record you and lace you with a CD. And I haven’t gotten any bad responses. That’s the type of thing that makes you want to do even more hours in the studio.

The perfect project I would create would be the same as a good movie, it takes you through all kinda emotions. Concepts for albums are genius, because it’s a moment in time that you’re capturing, you’re recording whatever you’re going through, where ever your mind is, you’re in a certain place at that point. It’s a statement to where whenever somebody hears it, they know exactly what you were thinking and they can remember that moment in time.

Covered in Canaries. Never a Flaw

By Nicoletta LoPresti

Selfridges, one of London’s most iconic shopping spots, has called on an elite group of designers to celebrate turning 100 years old this month.

Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, Mulberry, and more have designed exclusive pieces for Selfridges birthday, all in the store’s (and thankgodimfamous.com) signature color: canary yellow Pantone 109.

Marc Jacobs has reworked one of his signature must-have ‘Stam” bags (named after the model Jessica Stam), from Giles comes a patent leather dress in the pantone 109 shade, and classically cool Converse gifted them with canary Chuck Taylors. Guiseppe Zanotti added serious stilettos in a killer lemon x black color combo  while Mulberry has created a patent yellow edition of its much-loved Bayswater bag. On the tech side, BlackBerry Bolds were redesigned with a leather back-plate in Selfridges shade.

The centenarian Oxford Street mega store will retail the limited edition collection of pieces starting May 2009. A summer of events, including the Big Yellow Festival of music, fashion and variety every weekend in May, will be topped off by a retrospective exhibition from May 2 to August 31.

Glove Love

April 30th, 2009 | Posted in Fashion | 8 Comments

From music labels to designing her own fashion label. One word that best describes Georgette McGriff’s success? Persistence  georgie

By Nicoletta LoPresti

Although a born and bred New Yorker, with a keen eye for fashion, Georgette’s style has been enhanced by her globe trotting travels. After of years of working with the music industry elite, in 2006, Georgette launched Primo Luxe, a luxury glove line produced in Italy.

With the classic driving glove as her staple, her Fall ‘09 collection is made up of gorgeous buttery suedes, supple lambskin w/ lasered print designs, and pops of eye-catching colors.

Primo Luxe brings a style that is at once elegant and alluring resulting in a feminine look with a touch of lush leather edge. Offering a new and vibrant color palette and custom fashion gloves in exotic skins, Primo Luxe is poised for international appeal.

We asked Georgette a few questions about the line:

What’s your inspiration behind the line?

It varies season to season. I always look at the collections of some of my favorite designers such as Giambattista Valli and Nicholas Ghesquiere. This year I’m thinking about the opulence of “The Tudors”

Who’s your 5 glove wearing icons?

Definitely Rihanna. She shows how fun and youthful they can be. Karl Lagerfeld. Victoria Beckham. Diahann Carroll. Sophia Loren. The list is endless.

When is it appropriate to wear gloves?

You can wear gloves anytime. They really can make an outfit or at the very least, give your outfit a completely different look. I started with the basic driver which I do every season in 10 colors. The lambskin is so lightweight it feels as though you wearing nothing. Not to mention gloves in the winter stop your hands from aging so quickly due to the cold weather. You can always tell a woman’s age by her hands

Describe the ideal Primo Luxe girl?

The PL girl is someone who loves fashion and luxury. A trend setter who’s fashion forward

Primo Luxe is available at www.primoluxe.com and at Henri Bendels New York and Harvey Nichols Duabi
